To: San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Sims Metal Management is part of the largest metals and electronics recycling organization both globally and within the United States, The metals business operations encompass the buying, processing and selling of ferrous and non ferrous recycled metals. The Sims organization has been a part of the Stockton Community for many years and is a proud member of the San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber was instrumental in establishing a meeting between Sims Metal Management, and the Stockton Mayor, The Chief of Police, The Sheriff Department, representatives of the California and City legislature, PG&E and the Farm Bureau. The dignitaries toured our Stockton facility to gain a better understanding of how our business operates, and how the proposed ordinance would have caused undue harm to the health of our business.

Thank you
Sims Metal Management

To SJCHCC Board of Directors:

I would like to share with you the asset Mark Martinez and the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce have been to Vernon Transportation Company through its business education and advocacy.

The Chamber assisted in selecting vendors specializing on this issue to include engineering firms, aerial photography, economic impact specialist, business valuation, and real estate appraisal. The Chamber's knowledge and expertise has helped the state agencies and local elected officials better understand the special needs and sensitivity of our operation.

Due to the efforts of the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber, we have been able to minimize any negative impacts this project may have had to our company and the jobs of our eighty employees. We look forward to keeping our organization within the Stockton area for many years to come.

I consider the Hispanic Chamber as our ally and partner in business. Having the Hispanic Chamber available to support businesses and Mark's leadership is a huge asset to the community. I recommend them to anyone or any organization seeking education, assistance, or guidance on any issue that might impact their business.

Sincerely,
Tony Ketner
Vice-President
Vernon Transportation Company.

To SJCHCC Board of Directors:

Fabians Collision Center Inc. is a custom auto body repair center in Stockton, CA. We are a family owned business with a total of seven employees. We feel fortunate to have a local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that efficiently caters to the needs of local Hispanics enterprises. I have witnessed various successful education programs and events that have taken place in our community with the sponsorship of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Some of them have positively impacted my own business in this past year.

We have also received counseling on the importance of managing cash flow and how to obtain small business financing.

I am a firm believer that the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has improved not only my business and livelihood, but has helped a great deal of other Hispanic enterprises in our local community. We would not have had these opportunities if it was not for Mark Martinez and his leadership role at the San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Regards,
Fabian Caballos
