Our Signature Events

Each year the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosts a number of signature events for members and the San Joaquin Valley community.

  • January Annual Business Forecast Conference

    The Annual Business Forecast Conference aims to better prepare businesses for strategic planning based on economic analysis. The conference features economists to give both a global and regional forecast allowing business owners to mitigate risk by making sound business decisions based on concrete economic data in the coming year. Past speakers include Michael Stead, Director of Capitol Markets for Bank of the West, Jeffrey Michael, Director of the Business Forecasting Center for University of the Pacific and Greenlaw “Fritz” Grupe, Chairman of the Grupe Companies.

  • March Latina Business Conference

    The Latina Business Conference was formed in 2001 to champion the unique needs of businesswomen and working professionals. High profile special guest speakers have motivated and empowered attendees to pursue their professional goals for over thirteen years. The event also features a Business to Business Expo Pavilion and Hot Topic breakout workshop sessions.

  • April Small Business & Entrepreneurial Expo

    A recent addition to the SJCHCC Signature Events, the Small Business & Entrepreneurial Expo was formed in partnership with financial literacy organization, Sus Finanzas, to present a valuable opportunity for small business owners and those considering starting a business about how to learn more about accessing capital and financially preparing their businesses for success. Provides information on the many local alternative economic incentive programs that provide low-cost capital or grants to businesses in San Joaquin County. The Small Business & Entrepreneurial Expo also focuses on grass roots marketing tactics for small businesses and what aspiring entrepreneurs need to consider when starting a business.

  • May Annual Golf Tournament

    The Annual Golf Tournament is an exciting and successful networking opportunity with members, business owners and stakeholders out on the course! The Chamber kicks off the event each year at Elkhorn Golf Club complete with breakfast, lunch on the course and a day full of fun all in support of Hispanic business growth in the Central Valley. The tournament attracts over 250 guests and focuses on strengthening business relationships within the community and fundraising for the small business education programs that assist business owners with technical and financial access.

  • June Annual Business Awards & Installation Luncheon

    The San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrates companies and individuals who have been committed to promoting a thriving business community in the county at the Annual Business Awards & Installation Luncheon. The annual program also includes the presentation of the new Board of Directors. The event commemorates the formation of the Stockton Mexican American Chamber of Commerce formed in 1972 by a group of business owners and individuals to help raise awareness for local Latino issues. The Business Awards celebrates the Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Corporation of the Year, Business Advocate of the Year, Community Based Organization and the prestigious John Aguilar Spirit Award.

  • September Annual Business Procurement Expo

  • October Student Financial Aid & College Awareness Workshop

    One of the major barriers to attending college in Latino and minority communities is cost and SJCHCC aggressively promotes college access for all through financial aid awareness. As the creator of the Student Financial Aid and College Awareness Workshop, the Chamber and the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber Foundation work closely to enlist the business community to support the annual program which provide thousands of San Joaquin County students and their families with the information and resources they need to complete the financial aid forms necessary for CalGrants. The program is presented in English and Spanish with volunteers available to answer questions. Workshops are held for parents and students to educate them on the importance of college preparation, financial planning, and financial literacy.

  • Monthly Business Networking Mixers

    The Chamber builds your social capital by connecting you to other businesses, giving you access to community leaders, developing relationships and helping you gain visibility in San Joaquin County. One of the many ways we do this is by hosting Monthly Business Networking Mixers.

    This is a great opportunity to build your business network by meeting other Chamber members, making valuable connections and learning more about the San Joaquin County business community. Not only is it a great networking opportunity but it's a lot of fun! Be sure to bring plenty of business cards to hand out to your new contacts.

The San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary membership network of individuals, businesses, and professional associations working together to expand business opportunities for Hispanic and Non-Hispanic businesses and individuals by encouraging mutually beneficial ties with the public and private sector.
